Commission on Filipinos Overseas
I had to attend this seminar conducted by PRISM in Taft, Manila. Its one of the important things before leaving the country. Visa is worthless without this. Its a mandatory policy from the embassies, travel agencies and DFA.
What happened:
1. Registration - fill up the form and pay 250
2. Photo room - digital picture taking for the certificate.
3. Film viewing room - we watched from the previous episode of Magandang Gabi Bayan. Its about Filipinas who married Foreign Nationals. It was kinda sad coz all they want was to have a good life but they ended up living in disgrace. Imagine, this Filipina met his husband Dutch for only a month of exchanging letters (i think, sorry sounds defect) before they've decided to get married and brought her to Netherland. She didnt know what her husband's work. He's a photographer for a porno magazine (i think, sorry again sounds defect) whatever! She was asked to posed in nude and worst in snow!!!! For 30 minutes, she was naked! She was freezing to death! If she refused, he will hurt her. She escaped and went back home to the Philippines.
4. Country rooms - each room assigned different countries according to your destination. All bound to USA in one room and so on. It discussed the policies and regulations of the immigration, citizenships, airport, etc.
5. One-on-one - Its a one-on-one counseling. Its more of a personal informations.
Then wait for the yellow certificate to be present to CFO to put on the sticker to your passport with visa. Mine? to follow... hehehe..
